Fairfax, Virginia - HITT Contracting Inc., one of the country's Top 100 General Contractors, received three awards from the D.C. Metropolitan Subcontractors Association (DCMSA) at their annual Subby Awards Banquet on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

HITT won the prestigious award for "Outstanding General Contractor For Interior and Renovation," which, according to the DCMSA, goes to "the outstanding general contractor who has aided the subcontracting industry through outstanding administration, efficient field supervision, and fair financial practices on a continuing basis."

Peter Lanfranchi, a Senior Project Manager for HITT, was honored with the award for "Outstanding Project Management." This award is given to one local project manager who, over the past year, met and exceeded a number of criteria including superiority in managing projects effectively, processing change orders expediously, paying in a timely manner, and showing overall fair treatment of subcontractors on projects. Given the fact that both the nominees and winners of these awards are chosen solely by area subcontractors, Mr. Lanfranchi considered the award "a tremendous compliment from the subcontractor community."

Ray Womach, HITT's Director of Project Management Systems Training, also received the annual "MSA Special Acheivement Award" for his instrumental efforts in establishing the DCMSA Project Training Academy, teaching several classes at the academy, and providing invaluable computer related assistance to subcontractors.
